Comprehensive Education with the Highest Academic Standards

Clifton College, a leading co-educational boarding school, welcomes students aged 2 to 18 from all over the world. We offer full, flexi, and day boarding options. The college is committed to providing the best all-round education based on the highest academic standards. Our graduates progress to the top universities in the UK.

Clifton College offers a unique experience for its students, with compassionate care, inspiring teaching, first-class all-round sports, diverse co-curricular activities, and an outstanding environment.

Clifton College's 150-year legacy is a testament to its progressive approach and achievements. Founded and led by the visionary and pioneering Dr. John Percival, a staunch believer in science, female education, and racial tolerance, the college was established with the aim of educating "children of varied but strong character." Percival, a progressive Victorian, built a school centered around academics, a library, and a chapel.

The college buildings themselves possess a rich history, from the renowned architects who designed them to the individuals who have inhabited them. The provision of education to Jewish students in the 1880s fostered a greater cultural understanding, while the occupation of the college by the US Army in the 1940s necessitated the evacuation of students to Cornwall, resulting in a renewed sense of purpose and focus among both students and staff.
