Richard Norman Shaw built Bryanston School as a privet school for Portman family in 1889. When Bryanston School was bought by JG Jeffreys, it established in 1928. This Independent boarding school and private day school in the United Kingdom let their pupils to articulate different visions and show how they are moving towards it.

Both girls and boys aged 3 to 18 can apply in Bryanston School to enjoy their academic years.

The school contains four discrete stages:

  1. Pre-Prep: pre-prep Bryanston School is a safe and secure place to play, learn and discover the world with outdoor games, dependable nurses that encourage children to be confident and a strong sense of family to feel warm and active.
  2. Prep school: children up to 13 years old have a chance to use all of Bryanstons facilities like being in forest school, access to art sessions and musical instruments and take advantage of scholarship.
  3. Senior school: the period of starting two-year GCSE course is senior school. Pupils should make a decision about their future and will be supported about their choices. All of them are given opportunities to explore where their passions lie and experienced Extra Curricular activities. At the end, pupils learn how to manage their academic and personal life. During the summer term of the first year, students are guided by tutors and subject teachers in selecting their GCSE/IGCSE courses. In addition to the six academic subjects, the IB Diploma Program includes a core component consisting of three essential elements:

Bryanston School has an extra option which is summer school with special courses like Design & Technology, Equestrian, Creative Arts and Sport and fun activities.

How to apply Bryanston School?

Before sixth form:

  • Bryanston School welcomes students aged 3 to 16, with recommended starting years of 5 and 6. The enrollment process is straightforward and can be completed online. Prospective students must submit a registration form, upload recent school reports, and pay the registration fee.
  • To be considered for scholarships and bursaries, students should wait until the Autumn Term of Year 8 to participate in a qualifying assessment administered in the Spring Term of Year 8. Successful scholarship recipients may be required to pay a 10% deposit of the fees in Year 9. Bursaries are also available and can be applied for.
  • All registered students are required to complete a GL Assessment CAT 4 test and participate in an interview. If the child is in overseas, all of the apply steps can be online. Children living in overseas will be interviewed and invited to an online Imagine Day and should have EAL (English as an additional Language) and CAT4.

Sixth form:

  • Prospective students will begin the admissions process by participating in an information session
  • Following the information session, students will be given a tour of the school and have the chance to interact with current Sixth Form pupils. Talking about distinct subjects with heads is pupils third step
  • Bryanston School accepts a cohort of 20-30 students each year. Candidates must complete GL Assessments CAT4 and are expected to achieve a minimum of 40 GCSE points. International students must provide IELTS scores of 6.0 or equivalent. GCSE grades of 7 or higher are considered acceptable by Bryanston School's leadership.

International apply:

  • Due to online registration, there are no worries about this one; but its better to contact the Admissions team and getting advice before registering
  • In online enrollment, paying fees is online and safe too
  • latest school reports and a copy of child’s passport should be uploaded at the point of registration
  • International pupils expected to have good grades in IELTS or EAL and CAT4. These kids will be interviewed like the other volunteers.
